MJKO has previously received external funding from several sources, including funding from the Red Cross Society, the Public Health Agency of Canada, as well as federal funding from the Youth Employment and Skills Strategy, several large provincial grants (from the Ontario Trillium Foundation and the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport), several municipal grants (Toronto Foundation, City of Toronto – Investing In Neighbourhoods) as well as project funding from several agencies (Kiwanis Toronto, Second Harvest, Phy. Ed Canada, Canada Post Community Foundation, MLSE, Robert Kerr (Graham Burton Foundation, J.P. Bickel Foundation- etc.)
With this funding, MJKO has developed and delivered free programs to over 15,000 youth in the last decade.
